Antique 19th Century French Glazed Earthenware Confit Pot Jar
A wonderful French drip glazed Earthenware Confit Pot or Jar from the Southwest part of France.
Circa 19th Century.
This charming pot is glazed inside and partially on the exterior with a mustard yellow color and has a drainage hole in the bottom.
There are two handles commonly referred to as "ears".
In days past these pots were used for storing and preserving cooked meats.
Today it would be beautiful for a French country kitchen displaying dried flowers or cooking utensils or as a planter.
These confit pots also look stunning in a grouping with other various sizes of pots.
Diameter of mouth opening is 6.5". See all dimensions in details.
