Antique 1890s French Salins Majolica Asparagus Plate
A charming ceramic French Majolica Asparagus Plate with a decorative artichoke sauce compartment.
Circa 1880-1890s.
Made in Salins, France during the "golden age" of majolica production.
Maker's mark on the back.
This vibrant plate, predominantly a turquoise, is complimented with a dark green artichoke plant and a pale yellow scalloped rim.
The raised white asparagus with deep purple tips lays across the artichoke.
A gorgeous antique French plate functional for use, display or to add to a collection
