A gorgeous vibrant French Majolica Ceramic Oyster Plate handcrafted and hand painted by artisans of Vallauris France in the French Riviera.

Circa 1950-60s.

Made during the "golden age" of Vallauris after Pablo Picasso moved there in 1948, this dazzling oyster plate features a heavy "Fat Lava" style glaze.

It has a distinctive color palette of orange, chocolate brown, speckled turquoise and yellow.

There are six oyster wells with a splash of orange in the center of each against a dark brown background all bedded in a speckled turquoise with a bright yellow lemon shaped well for sauces.

A perfect addition to a decorative plate wall or for the artistic collector.
