1950s French Majolica Oyster Plate by Saint Jean De Bretagne

A beautiful hand painted French Faience Oyster Plate made by the French pottery workshop of Saint Jean de Bretagne in western France, circa 1950-60s.
Signed and printed by maker on the back.
This distinct colorful plate features traditional Celtic and Breton motifs in a color palette of burnt orange, green and brownish black.
The plate features six oyster wells with a center well for sauces or lemons each accented with a greenery sprig between them.
Each oyster well and the rim of the plate is outlined in a dark brown black making the colors stand out.
A well-made thick and heavy plate for display in a collection and functional for that next seafood dinner.
